The Product Catalog is similar to Windows Explorer in that it displays the hierarchical structure of catalog items and folders. The left side displays folders and packages while the right side displays packages and all of the contents in a folder.

The Product Catalog is used to set up recurring and nonrecurring products and usage-based services, as well as their associated fee structures and proration type. You can also bundle products into a package or a parent-child relationship, for special offers to your customers.
Note
With the exception of Special Products, the Product Catalog is initially empty, unless items were added during a conversion or upgrade.
To access the Product Catalog, on the Applications menu, click Product Management > Product Catalog.

Folders
Folders are used to logically organize the items listed in the product catalog. You can right-click on folders or catalog items on either side of the window to view various commands such as cut, copy, paste, and edit. See About Catalog Items Folders.
Adding Catalog Items
The New context (right-click) menu option lets you add the following types of catalog items:

To change the way the contents of the product catalog are displayed in the right-side of the window, right-click and select View > option.

View > Details displays the Description, SKU, Alias, Charge, Start Date, End Date, USOC and Class of Service of a catalog item.
View > Icon displays the icon only for catalog items.
View > List displays the catalog item in a list without any details.
View > Group by Type, if checked, displays catalog items based on the type of item, with folders being first in the list.
Drag and drop enables you to move Product Catalog items to and from folders.
The right side of the Product Catalog window can be sorted by selecting the column heading.

Catalog Group Setup
Catalog Groups are logical groupings of the items in your Product Catalog. Catalog Groups are used to group catalog items for reporting purposes.
