Rating Methods

Rating methods are used to calculate the charge/cost of usage. You can edit and create Tiered Rating Methods. For more information about using tiers for rating, see "Tiered Rating" in System-Defined Tiered Rating Methods. Rating methods that are not tiered are system-defined and cannot be edited. With the ability to create your own Tiered Rating Methods, you can create Rate Details that can rate usage based on various criteria. For example, you can base the rate on the amount of usage for all the toll-free numbers for a customer, or only count the usage that has a distance type of interlata toward the tiered rating levels.
