The IDI platform lets you assign line cards to services and track the equipment routes on those line cards.
An equipment inventory maintains a list of all the equipment, such as channel banks and cable pairs, used on those line cards.
In order to access the equipment functionality, your company must be licensed for Equipment Inventory.

Using Equipment Inventory
Once all the equipment has been set up, you can assign line cards to service numbers. The status of the associated equipment for these line cards is updated automatically in the equipment inventory.
You can assign line cards to service numbers once an order for that service number has been submitted for a customer.
Trouble tickets can be created on a piece of equipment. Additional tickets can be associated with an equipment trouble ticket, as children, to ensure that the equipment assigned to a service number will be fixed.
