The following configuration settings dictate how phone numbers associated with the product will be added when there is not sufficient room for all numbers. (See also Special Number Warnings and Errors in Make Sale.)
Prompt User to Make Room...
Check this option to enable the removal of phone book entries during Make Sale when there is not sufficient room to add all special numbers associated with this product.
Note
The phone book window is displayed as needed regardless of the service-level Show Phone book configuration.
When not checked, AND the service type is configured to not show the phone book, phone book entries cannot be removed during Make Sale. The product will be added without entries or will not be added at all, depending on All Numbers Required.
All Numbers Required
Check this option to make all special phone numbers associated with the product required. This means the phone book must have enough room for ALL entries associated with this product in order to add the product to the service. If there is not enough room for all phone numbers, AND Prompt User to Make Room is selected, a message is displayed to either remove phone book entries, or remove the product from the order. If the service type is configured to not show the phone book AND Prompt User to Make Room is not selected, the product will not be added to the service. The IDI Desktop Client displays a message to indicate this.
When not checked, phone numbers associated with this product are considered optional. If there is not sufficient room for all numbers, The IDI platform adds as many as possible based on rank, and then displays a message to remove phone book entries if the service and product are configured to show the phone book, or simply adds the product to the service without the remaining entries.
Note
Products with All Numbers Required selected are added to the service before products that do not have this option checked. If there is more than one product on an order with this option selected, the products are added on a first-come-first-served basis.

Clicking Next to proceed displays the Special Number Error window.
This window shows the number(s) which cannot be added and instructs you to do one of the following:
Remove existing phone book entries as needed to make room OR
Remove the product from the order.
You cannot complete the order without doing one of the above.
Clicking OK on this window takes you back on the phone book window.

In this case, as many numbers associated with the product are added to the phone book according to rank. The product is then added without adding the remaining special numbers to the phone book.
