The E911 Class of Service table lists the service categories that may be entered in the ALI database. This table lets you change the description field, but the E911 Class of Service indicator remains as required by the ALI.
This table populates the E911 Class of Service drop-down list on the Equal Access service E911 tab in Product Catalog and in the Service Number Details window when adding a new Equal Access service to a customer. Also, the items in this table are criteria on the E911 Batch Detail Search window.
To set up and maintain this table:
Under Data Management double-click E911 Class of Service. This displays the E911 Class of Service window.
The E911 Class of Service window provides the following information:
E911 Class of Service ID
System-generated identifier that uniquely identifies the E911 Class of Service.
Description
Lists the description of the E911 Class of Service.
Notes:
You can assign a default E911 Type of Service to Equal Access service types in Product Catalog or IDI Billing Solutions can develop specific scripts to assign the proper E911 Type of Service based on your company's business rules. Contact your Program Manager to have scripts developed.
Although you can change the description of the E911 Class of Service, this does not change how the system interprets it.
