Only services with a Service Class of Equal Access include E911 information. If you create a new service type and want to capture the address information for E911, you must select Equal Access as the Service Class.
After selecting Equal Access as the Service Class, the E911 tab is available.
The New Service - E911 tab contains the following information.
Enable E911 Support | If checked, E911 information is sent to the ALI (Automatic Location Information) database. |
E911 Type of Service | This field helps ensure that the correct PSAP is contacted when an emergency call is received by the switch. Select the appropriate E911 Type of Service from the drop-down list. |
E911 Class of Service | This field specifies what kind of service is making the emergency call, such as Residence, Business, Centrex, etc. This information is required E911 information sent to the ALI (Automatic Location Information) database. Select the appropriate E911 Class of Service from the drop-down list. |
