    Note

Directory listing products must have the "Directory Listing" Catalog Group assigned to the product If you are creating a directory listing product. (See Catalog Groups.)

    Notes:

    • Once a product is assigned to a customer, you cannot change the Prorating Type or the Effective Date.

    • A product once cannot be deleted once it has been billed to a customer.

    • If the price of a product has been modified, the new price is applied to existing customers and any new customers that are assigned the product going forward. If the new price should not be applied to existing customers, a new product with the new price must be created.

    • The Product Catalog does not maintain a price history for products. Proration assumes the current prices in the Product Catalog are the prices that were charged for the product in the past. For example: A customer is billed for a product. After the bill is generated, the charge for the product is modified in the product details. The product is then disconnected from the customer's account. The credit applied to this customer's account is based upon the current price in the product details, not the price that was used to calculate the customer's bill. Therefore, the customer is not credited the proper amount.
