Make Sale Wizard - CSA Check

Prev Next

Part of a Make Sale Wizard may include a CSA Check page to validate the coverage area for a new service.

Note

It must be configured and the user must have CSA permissions enabled.

The page is displayed after you enter address information for a new service.

CSA coverage window

Click Validate to have the address validated against the CSA Upload file. One of three possible messages is displayed:

  • Full Coverage available - This means that full coverage is provided for this Zip Code and you can continue past the CSA Check page.

  • Only Partial Coverage is available - This means that the provided zip code is known to have less than full coverage. The customer should be warned at this point. You arel allowed to continue past the CSA Check page if this warning is given.

  • No coverage available - This means that the provided Zip Code has no coverage, or it has not been configured. You can:

    • Verify the Zip Code given by the customer, and add a new one if given.

    • Cancel the wizard.

    • Obtain a Manager Override to continue with the wizard (and follow the prompts that are displayed, which vary depending on the situation).

Requiring a Service Contact When the Zip Code Does Not Match the primary Customer Contact

When this functionality applies, the system performs an additional check during the CSA Check that compares the Primary Contact Zip code (on the CSA check screen) with the CSA zip code that is entered and validated.

  • When the Primary Contact Zip matches the CSA zip code, the wizard continues without requiring users to enter a Service Address

  • When the Primary Contact Zip does NOT match the CSA zip code, an additional Service Address entry page is displayed and users MUST enter a Service Address.

When the service address is entered, the service address zip code is validated against the Coverage area just as the CSA check does.

  • When the Service Address is in the coverage area, the wizard continues and the entered Service Contact is used later in the wizard once the service is created.

  • When the Service Address is OUT of the coverage area either a manager override or a new matching Service address is required to continue in the wizard.
