Location Information

Location information is specifically based on the Rating Method. Use a comma (,) to separate different entries in the same record. For example, if the rating method is State, you can enter multiple states in one location field: NY,PA,AZ.

Rating Method	Required Location Information
Pt-To-Pt (Local Calling Area)	The state designation, operating company number, calling plan ID, and rate line reference number. They must be separated by a comma. For example, ny,5130,4,3. See Local Calling Area Call Rating. Note Only one entry (consisting of the state designation, operating company number, calling plan ID, and rate line reference number) can be entered in each rate detail record.
Area	Area identifier (as set up in Calling Areas) pairs. Enter a combination of Origination area and Termination area separated by a comma. Generally used for wireless.
Term Area	The terminating area identifier (as set up in Calling Areas). Enter the terminating area(s).
Orig Area	The originating area identifier (as set up in Calling Areas). Enter the originating area(s).
SID	Valid system identifiers for wireless services. These 5-digit SIDs identify the wire carrier.
CIC	Valid carrier identifiers that are up to 4 digits long and can contain leading zeroes. To be valid, the CIC must exist in the Provisioning Company table.
LATA/OCN	Valid LATA.OCN identifiers. You can use just the LATA or just the OCN or a combination (example 132.9104). LATA.OCN identifiers are added to the binlerg file via the NPANXX import/export procedure. Can be used for originating (e.g., 800) or terminating (e.g., Domestic 1+) usage. Note Using LATA/OCN rating method requires Telcordia TPM data. Entries can be made in the Location field without TPM data.
LATA	A valid LATA number. Can be used for originating (e.g., 800) or terminating (e.g., Domestic 1+) usage. Note Using LATA/OCN rating method requires Telcordia TPM data during rating. Entries can be made in the Location field without TPM data.
NPA	A valid NPA number. Can be used for originating (e.g., 800) or terminating (e.g., Domestic 1+) usage.
State	A valid state abbreviation. Canada and Caribbean countries are considered states for rating purposes. Can be used for originating (e.g., 800) or terminating (e.g., Domestic 1+) usage.
Mileage (Distance)	A mileage number range. For example, 0-16, 17+. These ranges are for the distance of the call (from originating service number to terminating service number) in miles.
Country	A valid country code or country and region code. If you are using a country and region code, separate the country from the region using a period. Ex: 52.1. Can be used for originating (e.g., 800) or terminating (e.g., Domestic 1+) usage.
Dialed Digits	A string of digits that would be dialed. For example, 5859244110 to designate a specific phone number in the U.S., or 4822 to designate calls to Warsaw, Poland. The system matches the most specific first. For example if the location of one rate detail in the rate plan is 585 and a later one is 5859244110, the system tries to match the more specific one (5859244110) be-fore trying to match the less specific (585). Can be used for originating (e.g., 800) or terminating (e.g., Domestic 1+) usage.
Tiered Rating Methods
Occurrences	A number range for the number of occurrences (e.g., calls) during a bill period. For example, 0-14, 15-25, 26+. (Also a method used for tiered rating.)
Minutes	A number range for the number of minutes used during a bill period. For example, 0-15, 16-25, 26+. (Also a method used for tiered rating.) Note The IDI platform counts the actual duration (not billed duration) of calls as they are in the CDR. These amounts may vary slightly due to rounding.
Total Occurrences	A number range for the total number of occurrences (e.g., calls) during a bill period. For example, 0-14, 15-25, 26+. Used for tiered rating. Notes: “Enable Total Occurrences Rating” must be selected in Admin Console, Backoffice rating settings. Total Occurrences totals the duration fields for the bill period.
Total Count	A number range for the number of usage records during a bill period. For example, 0-14, 15-25, 26+. Used for tiered rat Notes: “Enable Total Occurrences Rating” must be selected in Admin Console, Backoffice rating settings for Total Count to work. Total Count counts the usage records for the bill period.
User-Defined	A number range based on the criteria set up when creating the rating method. See Rating Methods.

Markup Cost %	No entry permitted. See Markup Cost % Rating Method. Note Not used during wholesale rating.
OCN Tier to Tier	The names of the originating and terminating OCN Tiers separated by a comma (,) with the originating tier first (OrigTier,TermTier), such as Rochester, ErieMetro. Enter only one OCN Tier-to-Tier pair per rate detail record.
OCN Tier	The name of the OCN Tier Type as set up in Data Management.
Default	No entry is required for this field. You can enter any text in this field as a note.
