You can further define your criteria to help determine the rate a call will be charged if the above rating methods alone do not cover the rate.
When rating calls, the system checks for a Criteria Type. If the Criteria Type is not blank, the system checks for a Criteria Value. If the Criteria Type is blank, the system ignores the Criteria Value field and bases the rate on just the appropriate rating method.
Note
All Criteria Values must be entered in uppercase (capitals).
You can use a CIC Criteria Type with the following Rating Methods:
LATA
NPA
State
Country
Default
Occurrences
Minutes
Note
The hunt order through criteria is CIC, then OCN Tier, then State. An example of when hunting is used: Identical rate plan details exist except one has a CIC criteria, one has an OCN Tier criteria, and one has a State criteria.
