To fast assign an inventoried service (shortcut method):
Either double-click on the desired service or right-click on the desired service and select Fast Assign.
If you checked the Choose Service Numbers box, the Choose Available Service Numbers window is displayed. See Choose Available Service Number for instructions on selecting a service number from inventory. If you did not check the Choose Service Numbers box, a service number is assigned to the service as described below.
If there are no reservations for the service numbers in this service's inventory and/or you checked the Ignore Reservations check box, the Select Inventory Group window is displayed.
From the drop-down list, select the service number inventory group from which you want to retrieve a service number.
Click OK to select a service number from the specified inventory group. This assigns the next available service number to the service, and displays the new service in the Orders portion of the Add Services window.
If you did not check the Ignore Reservations box and reservations exist for one or more service numbers in this service's inventory, the reserved numbers are displayed in the Select Reserved Service Numbers window.
If you do not want to assign one of the reserved service numbers, click Ignore. The Select Reserved Service Numbers window is closed and the Select Inventory Group window is displayed.
From the drop-down list, select the service number inventory group from which you want to retrieve a service number.
Click OK to select a service number from the specified inventory group. The Select Inventory Group window is closed, the next available service number is assigned to the service, and the new service is displayed in the Orders portion of the Add Services window.
If you want to assign one of the reserved service numbers, select the check box to the left of that service number and click OK. The Select Reserved Service Numbers window is closed, the selected service number is assigned to the service, and the new service is displayed in the Orders portion of the Add Services window.
