IDI Desktop Client lets authorized users:
Search and view past credit reports.
Request a new credit check on-demand (independent of a POS transaction).
Manage deposits (add/edit/allocate)
Applicable permissions are described in Setup.
Credit Report Search
This requires Credit Scoring permission. Select Applications > Credit Scoring and Deposits > TransUnion Credit Report Search. This displays the TransUnion Credit Report Search form.
Note:
Experian and Equifax are no longer supported.


Enter search criteria as described below:
Report ID | For a specific credit report enter the Report ID. |
Account # | For credit reports associated to a specific account, enter the account number. |
Last Name | For credit reports that contain a specific last name, enter the last name.

First Name | For credit reports that contain a specific first name, enter the first name.
|
HAWK Message | For credit reports that contain a specific HAWK message, enter the desired HAWK message. A HAWK message indicates a likelihood fraudulent information. If a HAWK message is displayed, there will be a link to access for more details.

File Hit | For credit reports that contain a specific file hit message, select the message from the drop-down list. |
OFAC Code | This field is applicable for service providers that use TransUnion’s OFAC Name Screen optional add-on report (6800). OFAC is an office in the US Department of the Treasury that administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions against offending entities. The OFAC screen name alert returns an OFAC notification on a subscriber’s credit report when their name matches a name on the U.S Department of Treasury’s Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list. For credit report searches the OFAC Code the drop-down menu lets you search for reports with one of these responses

From Request Date & To Request Date | For credit reports requested on a specific date, enter the date in these fields.

Credit Class | For credit reports that contain a specific Credit Class, select the Credit Class by clicking the corresponding check box. Select as many check boxes as applicable – none, some, all. |
Click Search to display credit reports that match the specified search criteria.
Notes:
If no search criteria are specified, all credit reports are returned in the search results.
If no matching credit reports are found, an empty table is displayed and the message No records available is displayed in the bottom left-hand corner of the search results.
Your Permission Profile determines whether you will either see complete confidential information (i.e., social security number) or no confidential information. There is no masking on a TransUnion Credit Report unless a preliminary search returns more than one matching report.

Note:
The search results will only include credit reports for accounts that are viewable based on a User Limit-To profile.
From the TransUnion Credit Report Search Results, you can:
View the TransUnion credit report for a particular entry, by either double-clicking on an entry or right-clicking and selecting View Credit Report.
View the detailed TransUnion credit report for a particular entry by right-clicking and selecting View Credit Report Details (requires Credit Scoring > View Details permission).
If an entry is a credit report for an existing customer, you can navigate to the customer’s account summary information by right-clicking and selecting View Customer.
Submit a new TransUnion credit report request, by right-clicking anywhere in the grid and selecting New Credit Report (requires Credit Scoring > New permission).
Credit Reports Tab
The Credit Reports tab on an open customer’s account is only available on the customer summary window if Credit Scoring is enabled in your Permission Profile. It lists the credit reports requested for the customer. From the Credit Reports tab, you can:
Review the results of a particular credit report request.
View the details of a particular credit report (requires Credit Scoring > View Details permission).
Request a new credit report for that customer (requires Credit Scoring > New permission).

The Credit Reports tab provides the following information for each credit report that has been requested for this customer:
Report ID | Unique ID assigned to this credit report by the IDI platform. |
Request Date | Date the credit report was requested. |
Report Status | Status of the credit report:

Report Result | User-defined status. |
Credit Class | Credit Class assigned to this customer, based upon the Score returned in this credit report. |
User Name | User name of the person that requested the credit report. |
Status Message | User-defined status. |
Provider | Name of the credit bureau that generated the credit report. |
Request Count | Number of times this credit report request was submitted to the credit bureau. |
To view the results of a particular credit report request, either double-click the credit report or right-click and select View Credit Report.
To view the details of a particular credit report, right-click the credit report and select View Credit Report Details (requires Credit Scoring > View Details permission).
To request a new credit report for this customer, right-click anywhere in the grid, select New Credit Report > TransUnion (requires Credit Scoring > New permission).
On Demand Credit Checks in IDI Desktop Client
Credit checks can be initiated on demand in IDI Desktop Client via any of the following methods (requires Credit Scoring > New permission):
From the Customer Window Credit Reports tab – Right-click anywhere in the grid, select New Credit Report, and select TransUnion from the submenu.

From Applications > Credit Scoring and Deposits > New TransUnion Credit Check.

From a Credit Report Search – Right-click anywhere in the search results and select New Credit Report.

From a credit report search, open a report then, click the Actions button in the bottom left-hand corner and select Re-Submit. This re-displays New Credit Report Request form with fields populated with data you entered for the original credit report request.

Any one of these options displays the TransUnion Credit Report form.

Required fields are indicated by a red circle with white exclamation mark. Some fields are auto-populated when you initiate the request from the customer window. For details on entering information in this form see TransUnion Credit Request/Report Fields.
Notes:
The Credit Reports tab and the Applications > Credit Scoring and Deposits menu option are only available to you if Credit Scoring is enabled in your Permission Profile.
In all cases, the ability to request a new report is only available to you if Credit Scoring > New is enabled in your Permission Profile.
Viewing Details
To view additional details for this credit report, click the Actions button at the bottom left-hand corner of the form and select View Details. All information returned in TransUnion’s response is displayed in the Credit Report # Details form. The title bar includes the Credit Report ID assigned to this credit report. Use the scroll bar on the right side of the form to view the full report. Refer to your TransUnion documentation for information regarding the contents of this detailed credit report.
Note:
The View Details option is only available if Credit Scoring > View Details is enabled in your Permission Profile.

Multiple Responses/Hits
In the event the credit report request results in multiple responses/hits, the responses are displayed in the Preliminary Results form.

From the Preliminary Results form, you can select one of the responses by right-clicking and selecting Select Record. This displays the selected credit report.
Resubmitting a Request
To resubmit the credit report request, click the Actions button and select Re-Submit. The input fields in Report Request form are populated with the information entered for the initial credit report request and may be edited as required.
Managing Deposits
Authorized users can view and manage deposits from the Customer form via:
Status > Deposits
Balances tab Deposit Balance view
Using the Deposits Grid (Status > Deposits)
Choosing Status > Accounts on the Customer form displays a grid listing deposits on the account.

Right-clicking on a deposit in the grid displays a context menu with options to filter the list, edit the selected deposit, or add a new deposit.

Adding a Deposit
To add a deposit, choose New from the context menu to display the Add Deposit form.

Amount | This field is required. Enter the amount to be deposited. |
Type | This field is required. The selector is populated with values as configured in the Deposits Data Management table in Admin Console. |
Interval | This field is required. Enter the number of months the deposit must be held before it is allocated. The value must be an integer greater than 1. |
Description | This field is optional. |
Editing and Allocating a Deposit
The Edit form provides the same fields as the Add Deposit form, and an Actions menu at the bottom with an Allocate Deposit option.

Select an Allocation Type and enter the amount to allocate.

Managing Deposits on the Balances Tab
Select Deposit Balance to show posted and unposted deposits on the account.
The Actions menu provides an option for adding a new deposit.
