In certain order flows, you may not want items that are usually automatically assigned to be included. For example, in a new service order flow you want to always include the activation fee, but in a swap equipment order flow, you do not want to charge the customer for activation.
The best way to prevent the charge is to create an assignment that is only used to stop the auto-assignment of catalog items and assign it to the swap equipment order flow.
The rule must have the same category names as the Auto-Assign template you want to stop. The browse tags from both templates are then combined during the order flow. Since the maximum value for stopping Auto-Assign is 0 (zero), the combined browse tags are ignored and none are added to the cart.
