You can identify product(s) the customer wants to purchase several ways:

  • Identify products by entering the SKU, UPC or Equipment ID

    SKU,

A unique identifying number for a product. If you are looking for a specific product, package, discount, service, or pricing plan, enter that item's SKU.

    UPC

Universal Product Code (bar code). This criteria may be convenient to use if you have the actual product and a scanner with which to read the UPC.

    Equipment ID

The ESN or MEID associated with the service's handset.

    Note

If you select "ANY" the system will find the products automatically.

  • Scan the products using a bar code reader

  • Find the product using the Search window

The best price for each product is automatically used, based on promotions, volume discounts, package discounts, and other criteria.

    Note

You can override the price that the system enters, depending on the configured security privileges of the Employee Group of the user.

As you enter each product, the item is added to the list.

If you choose Make Sale or enter a billable item during the Quick Sale process you will be guided through the Make Sale Wizard.

The wizard is designed to prevent you from entering customers who already exist in the system. The wizard also aids in the Credit Checking and Deposit assignment process.

    Searching for a Customer

The first step in the Make Sale Wizard is the Customer Search.

On this page the user will need to collect a minimum amount of information from the customer.

At the very least the user will need to know one of the following:

    • First and Last Name

    • Last four digits of Social Security Number

    • Last four digits of Driver License Number and State

    • Account Number

If the system is unable to find any matches...

Continue on and create a new customer from the information previously collected.

If the system finds any possible matches...

You will be prompted to either select one of the possible matches as the correct customer or they can continue on and create a new customer from the information collected.

After selecting an existing customer or creating a new customer, the Credit Check and Deposit Evaluation window is displayed. (More)

    Sales Transaction Types

    New Customer/New Activation Sale

If a Service Agreement is issued to a customer as part of the make sale process the Sign Agreement options displays.

    Note

Sign Agreement must be done prior to tendering the sale or an error message displays.

This option is primarily used by registers that do not have a Signature Capture device and/or will have the customer sign the printed service agreement at the end of the transaction.

Once Sign Agreement is checked the Wizard displays and the first required signature display on the page.

At this point in the customer is displayed the same text through the signature capture device. Once the customer has entered and accepted their signature it appears on the Service Agreement. Upon completion of the wizard the signed service agreement opens in Adobe Acrobat.

If the location has is setup to print service agreements automatically through the Printing Options then the file will automatically print, otherwise, click the print button manually.
