The Wire Centers table lists all of the Wire Centers that are currently defined in the system and identifies the location where subscriber cables terminate on your company's premises and Equipment Inventory. The Wire Center table populates the Wire Center drop-down lists in Service Addresses and Equipment Inventory.
To set up and maintain the Wire Centers table:
Under Data Management double-click Wire Centers. This displays the Wire Centers table.
The Wire Centers table provides the following information.
Wire Center ID
(read only)System-generated identifier that uniquely identifies the Wire Center.
Name
Wire Center name.
Wire Center Type
Name of the associated Wire Center Type.
Related to Equipment
Denotes whether the Wire Center is used with Equipment Inventory or not.
Yes includes the Wire Center in drop-down lists when working with Equipment Inventory and Service Addresses.
No includes the Wire Center in drop-down lists when working with Service Addresses only.
The shortcut menu for this table lets you add, edit and delete wire centers.
To add a new Wire Center to the table:
Right-click on any row in the Wire Center window and select New. This displays the Add Wire Center window.

Enter the name of the Wire Center.
Select the Wire Center Type from the drop-down list.
Click Save. This assigns a unique Wire Center ID to the new Wire Center, and updates the Wire Centers window to include the Wire Center you just added.
