Service Address Search

Service Address Search enables you to search for all service addresses that meet a specified set of search criteria.

To initiate a Service Address Search:

• On the Applications menu, click Service Address Management > Service Address Search. This displays the Service Address Search form.

  

• Enter Service Address Search criteria as described below:

  House number from/to	If you want service addresses with a specific house/building number, enter the desired number in this field and the "to" field. If you want service addresses with a house/building number that is greater than or equal to a specific number, enter that number in the "from" field and do not enter a number in the "to" field. If you want service addresses with a house/building number that is less than or equal to a specific number, enter that number in the "to" field and do not enter a number in the "from" field. If you want service addresses with a house/building number that falls within a specific range, enter the 1st number of that range in the "from" field and the last number of that range in the "to" field.
  Street Name	If you want service addresses with a specific street name, enter the desired street name. Note Wildcards may be used.
  City / State / Zip	If you want service addresses with a specific city, state, and/or zip code, enter the desired information into the appropriate field(s). Note Wildcards may be used in all three fields.
  Address Status	If you want service addresses with a specific status, select the desired Address Status by checking the corresponding check box. Note You may select as many check boxes as you wish - none, some, all.
  Rate Center	If you want service addresses that are assigned to a specific rate center, select the desired Rate Center by checking the corresponding check box. Note You may select as many check boxes as you wish - none, some, all.
  Wire Center	If you want service addresses that are assigned to a specific wire center, select the desired Wire Center by checking the corresponding check box. Note You may select as many check boxes as you wish - none, some, all.

• Click Search. This displays the Service Address Search Results form.

  

  Only those service addresses that match the specified search criteria are returned in the search results.

  Note

  If no search criteria are specified, all service addresses are returned in the search results.

  The Service Address Search Results form provides the following information:

  Address	Service address.
  Status	Status of this service address - Approved, Not Approved, Retired, and Pending Approval.
  Street Number	Service address' house/building number.
  Street Name	Service address' street name. Note Street name does not include directional prefixes, thoroughfares, or directional suffixes.
  City	Service address' city.
  Wire Center	Service address' wire center.
  MSAG Validated	This field only applies if you validate your service addresses against the MSAG table. If you do, this field contains the date the service address was successfully validated against the MSAG table. If the validation failed, this field is empty.

From the Service Address Search Results form, you can perform the following functions:

• Edit a service address by either double-clicking on the service address or right-clicking on the service address and selecting Edit (see Editing a Service Address).

• Delete a service address by right-clicking on the service address and selecting Delete

• Display a list of customers currently assigned to a service address, by right-clicking on the service address and selecting View Customers (see Customers Associated With a Service Address).

• Retire a service address by right-clicking on the service address and selecting Retire Address (see Retiring a Service Address).

• Add a new service address by right-clicking anywhere in the Service Address Search Results window and selecting New (see Adding a Service Address).
