Parent Equipment Tab - Add Equipment

If the new equipment is to be the child of another piece of equipment, add that other piece of equipment as the Parent Equipment.

1. Click the Parent Equipment tab.

   The Parent Equipment tab shortcut menu contains the following options.

   Find Existing Equipment	Opens the Find Existing Parent Equipment search window. See Find Existing Parent Equipment.
   Create New Equipment	Opens the Create New Parent window so you can add a new piece of equipment to the Inventory as a parent of the current piece of equipment. See Create New Parent Equipment.
   Dissociate Equipment	Deletes the relationship between the selected parent equipment and the main equipment. This option is available once parent equipment has been added to the list. See Dissociate Parent Equipment.
   Bulk Dissociate Equipment	Deletes the relationship between all of the listed parent equipment and the main equipment. This option is available once parent equipment has been added to the list. See Bulk Dissociate Parent Equipment.

Note

You cannot add Parent Equipment to another Parent Equipment from this window. To add "grandparent" equipment, you must save the current Parent Equipment information, open that Parent Equipment, and add Parent ("grandparent") Equipment from that window. In other words, you cannot create grandparent equipment from this window; they must be created independently.
