Managing Notification Templates

Prev Next

A template is used to create a personalized communication for each customer.

Note

A template can only be delivered by the methods it has been configured for: e-mail, file, or direct delivery.

To add or edit a template:

  • Select Applications > BackOffice Management > Customer Notifications > Manage Templates. This displays the Manage Template window.

  • Check the Show Protected Templates check box to view the protected templates. Protected templates are provided by IDI, and cannot be deleted or modified.

  • Right-click and select New to add a new template. This displays the Add/Edit Template dialog box.

  • Enter a Template Name. This is the source code name.

  • Enter a Display Name. This is the name of the template.

  • Select a Source that the template is associated with from the drop-down list.

  • Enter a description of the template, if applicable.

  • Click Save to save the changes.

    Note

Collections Letter and Agency templates should not be marked “Safe for Resubmit”. It is recommended that you go through the Collections process of resubmitting rather than resubmitting through Customer Notifications. In order to resubmit via the Collections process, the Agency Status must be set to “Must Be Sent”, OR you can select “re-export letter” from the letter export menu options.

Editing Template Properties

To edit template properties, right-click an existing template and select Edit Properties. This displays the Add/Edit properties window.

Modifying a Template

Right-click an existing template and select Edit.

Note

Literal code is displayed in navy blue text. The tags contained between <@ @> in the editor window are color coded according to the InfoScript style sheets.

  • To modify fields, select Show Fields from the Action menu.

  • To add a field, drag and drop the selected fields from the right side of the window into the appropriate section on the left side.

    Note

Once you have added a field to the template, click the Save from the Actions menu. A save confirmation dialog box will not be displayed when you close the editor window.
