The Item Detail - Return window is displayed during a return transaction for an inventoried item. The details provided vary according to the type of item, for example for serialized items this window shows the serial number of the item being returned.
For inventoried items this window lets you adjust the inventory status if necessary:
The Inventory Status defaults to New. With the appropriate permission, you can change the status if necessary, for example to Defective, Used, Demo, and so on.

Click OK when you are done. This adds a row for this return transaction in the Make Sale window.
