Every item in an inventory is assigned a system-defined inventory status which identifies the current state of that inventory item:
Inventory Status | Current State of Inventory Item |
|---|---|
Administrative | Used internally for administrative and/or operational purposes. |
Aging | Disconnected and is not available for reassignment for a pre-defined period of time. |
Assigned | In use or has an order pending. |
Available | Not in use and is available for assignment. |
Donated to Pool | Returned to the pooling administrator for reassignment to another carrier. |
Intermediate | Reassigned to another carrier, but not via the pooling administrator. |
Not Available | Not in use and cannot be reserved or assigned. |
Ported-Out | Moved to another carrier. |
Reserved | On hold for future use by a subscriber. |
Retired | Retired and not available for assignment. |
To view the service number inventory statuses defined in the system:
From the Applications menu, select Inventory Management > Service Number Inventories > Inventory Statuses Reference. This displays the Service Number Inventory Statuses window.

The Service Number Inventory Statuses window lists the inventory statuses that are defined for service numbers. For each inventory status, it identifies the NRUF Category that is assigned to that inventory status. See NRUF Categories for more information.
