The Duplicate Service Wizard lets you add one or more services to a customer's account by duplicating a similar service that already exists in that customer's account. When duplicating a service, the existing service is used as a template for the new services. All catalog items assigned to the existing service are assigned to the new services. Any Sub Services that exist are not duplicated.
Notes:
The Duplicate Service function is only available if permissions to view it are enabled.
All windows in this wizard provide an Actions button for editing orders, viewing order errors, and viewing pre-order responses. For details see Actions.
To duplicate a service:
From the Services tab, right-click on an active service and select Duplicate.
OR
From any window in the New Customer Wizard or the Add Service(s) & Feature(s) Wizard that displays services, right-click on the active service and select Duplicate. This displays the Order Information window.
Notes:
Only active services can be duplicated, including products with a future date.
Products assigned to a duplicated service automatically inherit the start and end date of the new service. If the service being duplicated contains Sub Services, the Sub Services are NOT duplicated.

The Receipt Number field is only provided in an integrated POS and Wireless system.
Select the Order Type from the drop-down list and click Next. This displays the Duplicate Service window.
Note
Disconnected products are not displayed.
Enter the service number or range of service numbers you want to add, as well as any other information that pertains to the new service(s):
Quantity
Number of service numbers you want to add. Default is 1.
This field is ignored if you enter a value in the Service Number To field.
Service Number From
If you are only adding one service number, enter that service number in this field and leave the Service Number To field empty.
If you are adding multiple service numbers in a sequential range, enter the first service number in that range.
This field is required. Up to 30 alphanumeric characters are allowed. If Quantity is greater than one, this field must be numeric.
Temporary service numbers are allowed, if this feature is enabled for this service in the Product Catalog AND nothing is entered in the Service Number To field.
If a Service Number To is entered, this field must be numeric, must not be a temporary service number, AND must be less than the specified Service Number To.
Service Number To
If you are only adding one service number, leave this field empty.
If you are adding multiple service numbers in a sequential range, enter the last service number in that range.
This field must be numeric.
Temporary service numbers are not allowed.
Billing Number (Wireline)
OR
MIN (Wireless)
Wireline service
Enter the billing number for the new service number(s). Default is the duplicated service's Billing Number.
Wireless service
This field cannot be modified. You enter the MIN later in the Specify Wireless Information window which is displayed after you click Add (see below).
Effective Date
Date the new service(s) are scheduled to begin.
Default is the current date. The effective date of the duplicated service is not copied.
Disconnect Date
Scheduled disconnect date for the new service(s), if applicable.
Name
Contact name for the new service(s). Default is the contact name assigned to the existing service that is being duplicated.
Department
Select a department from the drop-down list.
Default is the department assigned to the existing service that is being duplicated.
Note
If service type is inventoried, the Service Number From and Service Number To fields are disabled and a “Choose Service Numbers” option appears under the Options button, as does a “Create as Ported-In Service Number” option.
To use the existing service's contact for the new service(s), click the Options button and select Copy Service Contact. The existing service's contact information is added to the new service(s).
A check mark is placed to the left of the Copy Service Contact option to indicate this option has been selected. Once you turn this option on, it applies to all services you add from this point forward, until you manually turn this option off.
Note
To turn this option off, click the Options button and select Copy Service Contact again. This removes the check mark.
To use the existing service's zone for the new service(s), click the Options button and select Copy Zone.
Click Add to add the specified service(s) to the customer's order.
If you are adding one or more wireline services, the specified service(s) are displayed in the bottom portion of the Duplicate Service window.
If you are adding one or more wireless services, the Specify Wireless Information window is displayed once for each wireless service being added. Different fields are displayed based on the handset's technology.
Select the wireless technology -- CDMA/TDMA, Dual Mode (CDMA + SIM), or GSM.
Specify Wireless Information - CDMA/TDMA
Enter the required CDMA/TDMA Information as described below:
MIN
10-digit mobile identification number assigned to the subscriber's cell phone.
DEC ESN / MEID
Decimal ESN (electronic serial number) or MEID (mobile equipment identifier) assigned to the subscriber's cell phone. (15 digits)
HEX ESN / MEID
Hexadecimal ESN (electronic serial number) or MEID (mobile equipment identifier) assigned to the subscriber's cell phone.
Handset
Model of the subscriber's cell phone.
Specify Wireless Information - Dual Mode (CDMA + SIM)
Enter the Dual Mode information.
MIN
MIN assigned to the subscriber's cell phone.
DEC ESN / MEID
Decimal ESN (electronic serial number) or MEID (mobile equipment identifier) assigned to the subscriber's cell phone, if the phone does not use a SIM card.
HEX ESN / MEID
Hexadecimal ESN (electronic serial number) or MEID (mobile equipment identifier) assigned to the subscriber's cell phone, if the phone does not use a SIM card.
SIM #
20-digit ID number of the SIM, if used by the phone.
IMSI
15-digit ID number of the subscriber, if a SIM card is used.
Handset
Model of the subscriber's cell phone.
Specify Wireless Information - GSM
Enter the required GSM Information as described below:
SIM #
20-digit ID number of the SIM.
IMEI
15-digit decimal ID number of the handset (specify only on order creation or for equipment swap).
IMSI
15-digit ID number for the subscriber.
Handset
Model of the subscriber's cell phone.
Click OK to add the new service number to the customer's order.
If this is not the last service number being added, the Specify Wireless Information window is displayed for the next service number. Repeat the previous steps for each number being added to the customer's order.
If this is the last service number being added, the new service(s) are displayed in the bottom portion of the Duplicate Service window.
Add more services, as described above, if so desired.
At any time, you can reset all of the input fields to the original values that were initially displayed in the Duplicate Service window by clicking Reset.
If you want to remove a service from the order, right-click on that service in the bottom portion of the Duplicate Service window and select Remove. The selected service is deleted from the order.
If you want to remove all services from the order, right-click in the bottom portion of the Duplicate Service window and select Remove All. All services are deleted from the order.
When you are done adding services, click Next. This displays the Add Service-Level Features window.
Add any service-level features that apply to the new service(s). See Adding Service-level Features in Adding Features and Services for a description of these input fields.
Click Next. This displays the Order Options window. See Submitting the Order in Adding Features and Services for details regarding this window.
