Your company may decide certain states do not require address validation using Enhanced Address Validation. Adding those states to the Exclude from Enhanced Address Validation window tells the system to use either USPS or Basic validation methods. Enhanced Address Validation Exclusions are configured via BackOffice Management.
To add a state to the list of Enhanced Address Validation Exclusions:
From the Applications menu, select BackOffice Management > Address Validation > Enhanced Address Validation Exclusions. This displays the Exclude from Enhanced Address Validation window, a list of states excluded from requiring Enhanced Address Validation.

The ID is the unique identifier of the exclusion record.
If the Show Inactive Exclusions check box is checked, the Exclude From Enhanced Address Validation window includes states that have been deleted in addition to the states currently excluded from Enhanced Address Validation.
If the Show Inactive Exclusions check box is not checked, the Exclude From Enhanced Address Validation window displays only those currently excluded from Enhanced Address Validation.
Right-click in the table and select Add. This opens the Add Enhances Address Validation Exclusions window.
