Changing Features Wizard

The Change Features wizard lets you disconnect and add multiple services and products to existing customer accounts in one single order. Some of the procedures in this wizard are identical to the equivalent procedures in the Add Service(s) and Feature(s) Wizard. For those procedures, see Add Service(s) and Feature(s) Wizard for further details if necessary.

Note

This wizard can also be accessed from the customer record, Services tab.

To change features from the Customer Management menu:

  1. Select Applications > Customer Management > Change Features. This displays the Feature Change window.

  2. In the Find Service field, enter the search criteria:

  4. Click the Search icon. UG template for Help

    The following information is displayed on the Feature Change window:

    • Service Number - Enter the 10-digit service number for the service selected. Use the Advance button if applicable.

    • Order Type - Displays the Order Type that has an order class of "Standard Order". You must select an Order Type before selecting the Guided Assignment option.

    • Customer Information - Name and address

    • Equipment Information

      • - The Technology is the standard (CDMA/TDMA or GSM) being used by the phone.

        Technology

        The Technology is the standard [CDMA/TDMA, Dual Mode (CDMA + SIM), or GSM] being used by the phone.

      • SIM Card ID - The SIM Card ID is the manufacturer's serial number on the SIM Card.

      • Handset ID - The Handset ID is the manufacturer's serial number on the phone.

      • Handset - Select a handset name/manufacturer from the list of those available.

    • Starting Codes

      • Code - The Starting Code is the code CSRs enter in the Find Catalog Item field when making a sale.

      • Description - The Description is additional information about the Starting Code(s). This is displayed on the POS Catalog Item Search window when searching for Starting Codes within POS Make Sale and Make Sales Request and when viewing a Service's properties.

      • Start Guided Assignment - Right-click to select this option - Guided Assignment screen displays using the service selected in the table.

    • Right- click on a row and select Start Guided Assignment to view the Guided Assignment wizard.

MRC's:

  • Estimated Current MRC's - Displays the estimated Monthly Recurring Charges (MRC's) for all features belonging to this service prior to any changes. Current MRC's are the sum of all items that start dates are less than or equal to today, and that have an end date not specified, or greater than today.

  • Estimated Future MRC's - Displays the new estimated MRC's, including the current changes. Future MRC's are the sum of all items that do not have an end date specified.

  • Right-click to disconnect a feature.

Actions Button Options:

  • Modify Different Service

  • Show Future Disconnect Items - If checked, items that have end dates specified are displayed. By default, this check box is unchecked and displays only items which do not have end dates specified, or that are being modified.

  1. Click Submit.

Permissions

The Catalog Items permissions are available via the Admin Console > Security > Permission Profiles. Go to CostGuard Client > Customer Management > Customers > Catalog Items > Change Features.

These permissions affect Services and Features accessed via the customer record on the Services and Features tabs.

Enabled: Lets you view and manage features and services on a customer's account.

Disabled: The Features and Services tabs are not displayed on customer accounts.
