
To add a new adjustment:
Right-click a row and select New. The New Adjustment window is displayed.

Enter the Add Adjustment information described below:
Customer Name
Displays the name of the subscriber.
Note
Once you enter the Account Number, the system fills in the Customer Name.
Account Number
Enter the unique identifier of the account.
Account Status
The state of the account.
Note
Once you enter the Account Number, the system fills in the Account Status.
Billing Status
The billing status associated with the customer’s account status.
Note
Once you enter the Account Number, the system fills in the Billing Status.
Total Amount Due
The current total amount due of the account.
Note
Once you enter the Account Number, the system fills in the Total Amount Due.
Aging Group
The customer’s balance aging group.
Note
Once you enter the Account Number, the system fills in the Aging Group.
Amount
Enter the dollar value of the adjustment.
Adjustment Date
Select the date when the adjustment was made or accept the current date.
Adjustment Type
Select the Adjustment Type from the drop-down list.
The Adjustment Type determines whether the adjustment is a credit or a debit. A credit is applied to the account balances as a negative adjustment amount and a debit is applied to the account balances as a positive adjustment amount.
Reason
Select an additional description of the adjustment from the drop-down list.
Check Number
Enter the number of the check for the adjustment, if applicable.
Description
Enter the text explanation of the adjustment, if applicable.
Batch Number
Enter the Batch Number used to help track adjustments, if appropriate.
Adjustment Allocation
Apply to Invoice Number
Select the number of the invoice on which the original charge was found.
Apply To Invoice Category
Select the Invoice Category.
Block Adjustment
Select this check box to block an adjustment.
Note
To unblock adjustments, you must have the appropriate permissions.
Click Save to add the adjustment.
Once you have added an adjustment, the Add Adjustment fields reset and are ready for your next adjustment. If you do not have any more adjustments to add, click Cancel.
