About the Inventory Dashboard

The Inventory Dashboard lets inventory administrators monitor general and detailed information for informed and timely decisions. It provides a big-picture view of your company's inventory, but also lets you access the details.

To view the Inventory Dashboard:

1. From the Applications menu, select POS Back Office > Inventory Dashboard. This displays the Inventory Dashboard form. You can then further define inventory you want to see.

   

• In Display, select the kind of information you want to see:

  • Available For Sale

  • On Hand

  • Restocking

• In View By, select how you want to see the inventory details:

  • Location/SKU

  • Location/SKU/Inventory Status

• In Search, enter the desired criteria and click Search to limit the amount of information displayed:

  • Location

  • SKU

  • UPC

  • Inventory Status

  • Catalog Group

  • Category

• To include information about inactive products, clear the Exclude Inactive Products check box.

  The columns displayed are based on your selections.

  The shortcut menu on the Inventory Dashboard lets you perform the following inventory management functions:

• View Inventory - See The Inventory Search Results section in Searching POS Inventory.

• View Requests

  

• View Outbound Inventory Details

• Override Values

• Edit Retail Product

• Edit Restocking

  To override restocking values for a retail product:

  1. Right-click the Location row that you want to set to override.

  2. From the shortcut menu, click Edit to display the Edit Restock window.

  3. Click the Override values radio button.

  4. Enter a value for

     Max Quantity

     The maximum on-hand quantity. By default, if an item is to be reordered, the amount reordered will be the Max Quantity minus the Quantity on hand.

     and

     Min Quantity

     The minimum on-hand quantity. By default, if the on-hand count is less than Min Quantity plus the Buffer Quantity, the item will be reordered.

  5. Enter a value for

     Buffer.

     Buffer is the number of units (per inventory status) set as the "inventory forecast number" added to the Min Quantity to provide an adequate stocking level to serve needs while the reorder process takes place.

  6. Click Save to keep your changes.

     Notice that the row on the Restock tab now displays in black with the Max Quantity, Min Quantity, and Buffer Quantity shown.
