About Sales Requests

Prev Next

Sales Requests are used when the seller and the customer are not physically together, such as in a call center environment. The sale is tendered, the request is sent to your fulfillment distributor, who, in turn, ships the product to the customer. So a period of time, usually a few days, elapses between the tendering of the sale and the delivery of the product to the customer.

The Sales Request/Fulfillment Request process creates two separate POS orders (New POS Order) on the customer record. They are both shown in the customer record on the Orders tab before either is completed.

A Sales Request is the first step in the process of having products shipped to the customer. Each sales request uses the steps within the Sales Request Wizard to guide you through the sale. When all steps in the sales request are completed, a Fulfillment Request is created and sent to your distributor. A sales order is also created and posted to the customer record.

See Make Sale Wizard for a list of the various POS Sales Request Wizard pages that may be used in a Sales Request.

These steps are followed in the Sales Request:

Starting the Make Sales Request Wizard

Customer Search

Entering Customer Information

Selecting the Sales Request Fulfillment Type

Capturing the Shipping Information

Selecting Catalog Items

Completing the Sales Request
