Reward points are used as a way to reward subscribers for their loyalty and generating revenue. Subscribers can use accumulated reward points to purchase items via POS or use them to pay their bills. Reward points can be based on time (loyalty) or amount of revenue generated (usage).
Reward points are applied as a discount. Like other discounts, a Reward Points discount can be assigned to a service or account using:

Accounts can have multiple Reward Points Discounts assigned at both the account level and service level.
The Expire Reward Points scheduled job performs the expiration of Bonus/Reward units that are defined to do so after a specific timeframe. This scheduled job runs once a day. The expiration date is based on the defined number of expired days relative to the defined Bill Period end date, not the bill run date.
The IDI platform reward points functionality includes:
Ability to view the reward points balance and its details on the customer account and to maintain that balance using manual updates.
Redemption of accumulated reward points (converted to currency) as tender for a POS sale or tendered bill payment.
Ability to audit the activity of the reward points discount via reports.
