Wireless Usage Summary

The Usage Summary displays free units as well as usage charges by service number. The Charge section summarizes usage by service number. The Available Units section displays a summary of used and unused units by discount. The Usage Type Summary tab summarizes usage by service number and then by usage type.

The upper pane of the Usage Summary window is the Charges section and contains the following information.

Service Number	Wireless service number of the subscriber.
Airtime Minutes	The number of home minutes used by the service number in the bill period.
Roaming Minutes	The number of roaming minutes used by the service number in the bill period.
Units	Total usage that is occurrence-based (not minutes), for example usage for downloading data.
Airtime Charge	Total amount charged for airtime for the service number in the bill period.
Roaming Charge	Total amount charged for roaming for the service number in the bill period.
Toll Charge	Total amount charged for all long distance (toll) usage for the service number in the bill period.
Other Charge	Total amount charged for all usage other than airtime, roaming or toll (calls to Operator or Directory Assistance for example).
Total Charge	Total amount of all charges for the service number in the bill period

The lower pane of the Usage Summary window is the Available Units section and contains the following information.

Service Number	The service number associated with the Discount Category.
Discount Category	The name of the group of discounts associated with the available units.
Remaining	The number of unused units.
Expiration Date	The date the units are no longer available.

Your company may have selected to display the Available Units with additional information.

Service Number	The service number associated with the discount.
Discount	The name of the discount the units belong to. Note For discounts descriptions prefaced with "Acct" in the grid, these represent Corporate Grants. Both the account and service number are displayed for the service utilizing the discount.
Unit Type	The kind of units counted for the discount.
Carried In	Lists the number of units brought over from the previous bill period.
Expired	The number of units not used during the bill period, but cannot be carried over to the next bill period. This column is displayed only for billed bill periods.
New	The number of additional units added at the beginning of the bill period, such as the monthly allotment of free minutes.
Used	The current number of units used.
Balance	The number of unused units left for the bill period. This column is displayed only for current (open) bill periods.
Overage	The number of units used that were not included in the discount. (the number of units "over" the number allowed in the discount)

If you have discounts that are shared between services, the Available Units are displayed with a breakout of used discount minutes by service number.

Note that numbers 6781 and 8567 share the discount, "Simply Share 29 Minutes." They have each used 6 minutes, for a total of 12 minutes used for this bill period.

The Wireless Usage tab, Available Units pane, includes the following information.

Service Number	The service number associated with the discount.
Plan Name	The plan name associated with the service number in the first column
Discount	The name of the discount the units belong to.
Unit Type	The kind of units counted for the discount.
Carried In	Lists the number of units brought over from the previous bill period.
New	The number of additional units added at the beginning of the bill period, such as the monthly allotment of free minutes.
Used	The current number of units used. For a shared discount you'll see a distinct row for each number that shares the discount and the amount used. The total amount used for all sharing numbers is displayed on the row with the discount name.
Expired	The number of units not used during the bill period, but cannot be carried over to the next bill period. This column is displayed only for billed bill periods.
Balance	The number of unused units left for the bill period. This column is displayed only for current (open) bill periods.
Overage	The number of units used that were not included in the discount (the number of units "over" the number allowed in the discount).

The Usage Type Summary Tab displays an overview of units and charges for a service number by service type and usage type.

To view details of each call for a specific service number, right-click the service number in the Charges section and select View Detail. This displays the Wireless Usage Details.
To view details of each type of service that uses the usage type, such as long distance or local call for a specific service number and discount category, right-click the service number and select View Unit Balance Ledger. This displays the Unit Balance Ledger filtered by the service number and selected category. See Unit Balance Ledger.
