This window shows a ledger view of the unit balances for a selected discount category and service number.

Note
There may be more than one discount listed in the ledger if the selected service number uses multiple discounts from the same category.
Each row represents an action such as allocation of units, usage, or debits/credits that replenished, depleted or extended the unit balance. The actions are listed chronologically with the most recent action at the top of the list. For a given discount, the row nearest the top of the list shows the most current balance. The rows below show the history of actions that produced the current balance.
You can use the menu/check box controls just above the unit balance list to refine the view, for example to show the unit balance history for a selected discount or catalog item.
Fields
Discount - Indicates the discount whose unit balance is listed in this row.
Action identifies the cause of the Unit Change.
Allocate - An allocation row is used to show when the units for a discount have been created and given to the customer. All unit balances start with an allocation.
Adjustment - An adjustment is a credit or debit to the balance. Adjustments share the same available and expiration date as the Allocate.
Usage - Usage represents the decrement of the unit balance by call records. The post date for this action is the last time the discount processed the customers call records via Rerate or Incremental Discounting. For lack of any better value (because it doesn't really apply), it shares the available date of the Allocate.
Extension - An extension action is the changing of the unit's expiration date. The date may be change forward or back. The unit change will be zero and the available date is the same as the Allocate row.
Expire - When the expiration date of a unit balance is reached, the balance must be expired. This applies to positive and negative balances. The post date of the Expire action will be the best expiration date between the Allocate and the Extension (if applicable). The available date will be the same as the Allocate row and the expiration date will equal the post date.
Unit Change - This is the amount of units added to or deleted from the balance as a result of this action.
Balance - This is the remaining balance after the unit change is applied.
Expiration Date - This is the date the remaining units are scheduled to expire (to be removed from the balance).
Available Date - This is the date the remaining units are scheduled to become available (or became available).
Posting Date - This is the date the result of this action was posted.
Refining the View
The drop-down menus and check boxes below the title bar let you refine the list by:
Catalog Item - Use the Catalog Item drop-down menu (plan or package) to filter the list based on plans or packages. The default is to show all Catalog Items. Selecting a catalog item limits the list to only those discounts contained within the selected plan or package.
Discount - Use the Discount drop-down menu to show only the selected discount.
Show Expired Units - Use this check box to show or hide expired units.
Show Future Units - Use this check box to show or hide yet-to-be posted balance changes.
Debiting and Crediting Unit Balances
To debit or credit a unit balance, right-click on the row and select Make Adjustment. This dialog lets you make a debit or credit adjustment to a unit balance category selected via the Unit Balance Ledger.
To do this:
Select Debit or Credit.
Enter the amount to be debited or credited.
Enter a description (optional).
Click Save.
Note
The Available and Expiration dates that will be applied to the adjustment are derived from the selected row, so consider what dates you want to use before selecting a row.
