Synchronizing ensures a service’s phone book accurately reflects the related products currently active on the service. Synchronization is performed when the order is submitted. You can also perform synchronization outside the order process via the Actions > Refresh function on the Phone Book window.

Synchronization can be performed in bulk (on multiple services) via the SDK.
When synchronization is performed on a Service, whether using the Phone Book window or through the SDK, the following actions are taken by the system:
If the phone book lacks entry(s) for an active product, the entry(s) are automatically added if there is room available in the phone book.
If the phone book contains entries for products that are no longer active on the service, those entries are removed from the phone book.
If an entry in the phone book does not match the corresponding configuration (number and description) on the Phone Book Special Numbers window, the phone book entry is updated according to that configuration.
First, the system looks for all special numbers in the phone book for the service, and special number products on the service. For each special number in the phone book, the system checks if the service has the corresponding special number product assigned. If yes, the system checks if the name or number has been changed, and updates those values in the phone book if necessary. If the product is not found on the service, the special number is removed from the phone book. The system also removes duplicate special number entries during this process.
The system then attempts to add numbers for missing special number products on the service. The system checks if there is enough space in the phone book to add the missing numbers. If yes, the numbers are added, if not the system checks the product configurations to determine how to proceed.
