This displays the Start page where you can find, select, and start a Workflow.

The Available Definitions area displays a list of all checked-in and promoted Business Process Definitions.
Refining the List of Available Definitions
To limit the number of Business Process Definitions displayed in the list, enter one or more of the search criteria and click SEARCH.
Search criteria:
Name | Name of the Business Process Definition. |
Type | Drop-down list of available workflow types, such as Custom and Order. |
Selecting and Starting a Workflow
The Start page gives you the option to auto-start the Workflow, or put it in a Waiting status, and open the Definition in the Layout page where it can be started as needed.
To proceed:
Select the Business Process Definition from the Available Definitions list. The right side of the page displays the fields associated with the selected Definition and includes the Definition's name at the top.
Enter the required information as needed.

Workflow Name
(required)
Name of the running occurrence of the Business Process Definition which defaults to the Business Process Definition's name.
Warning
By default, this field is populated with the name of the Definition, however, IDI strongly recommends that you edit this field and create a unique Workflow name for this instance.
Coordinator
(required)
User name of the individual responsible for the progress of the Workflow.
Warning
By default, this field is populated with the logged-in user, however, IDI strongly recommends that you edit this field and select the appropriate user for this instance.
Requested Due Date
End customer's preferred due date and time.

Link Reference Type
Link Reference ID
These fields let you establish the linkage between a workflow and it’s related customer or ticket. These fields are optional.
The Link Reference ID field is not available until you make a selection for Link Reference Type. Start by selecting Customer or Ticket in the Link Reference Type drop down menu. After making this selection, enter the specific customer or ticket ID in the Link Reference ID field.
Global Extended Data
System-defined fields. These are displayed only if required by the Workflow type.

Fields created when the Business Process Definition was configured.

Auto-Start
Checked: When you click START, the Workflow is started with a status of In Progress and the baseline is calculated.
Unchecked: START button changes to CREATE. Workflow status is Waiting and the Baseline is not calculated.
If you chose to Auto-start, click the START button to initiate the Workflow. The system starts the Workflow, calculates the Baseline, and displays the Overview Page.
OR
If you did not select Auto-Start, click CREATE. This opens the Workflow in the Layout view with a status of Waiting. From here you can review the logic flow and start the Workflow by selecting Start Workflow from the Waiting drop down menu.
