Stand Alone Child Troubles

To view the Child trouble tickets that are linked/assigned to a Parent Stand Alone trouble ticket:

  1. In the Edit Stand Alone Trouble Ticket window, click the Child Troubles (n) tab. This displays all Child trouble tickets that are linked to this Stand Alone trouble ticket.

    Note

    The number (n) in the Child Troubles tab header indicates the number of Child trouble tickets that are assigned to the current Stand Alone trouble ticket. For example - if a Parent Stand Alone trouble ticket has 2 Child trouble tickets, the tab header will be Child Troubles (2). If there are no Child trouble tickets assigned, the tab header will be Child Troubles (0).

    From the Child Troubles tab, you can:

  • Edit a Child trouble ticket, by right-clicking on the Child trouble ticket and selecting Edit. See Editing a Trouble Ticket for more information on editing trouble tickets.

  • View the customer data associated with a Child trouble ticket, by right-clicking on the Child trouble ticket and selecting View Customer. This displays the Customer window.

    Note

    This option is not available for Child Global or Child Stand Alone trouble tickets, as Global and Stand Alone trouble tickets are not associated with a specific customer.

  • Set the Child trouble ticket to Display on Customer Summary Tab by right-clicking on the Child trouble ticket and selecting Display on Customer Summary Tab. See Setting Trouble Tickets To Retained/Not Retained for more information on retaining trouble tickets.

    Note

    This option is not available for Child Global or Child Stand Alone trouble tickets, as Global and Stand Alone trouble tickets are not associated with a specific customer.

  • Duplicate the Child trouble ticket, by right-clicking on the Child trouble ticket and selecting Duplicate Trouble Ticket. See Duplicating a Trouble Ticket for more information.
