RTE035 - No retail time of day entry

Prev Next

Override NOT allowed

Name

No retail time of day entry.

Common Cause

The usage record failed rating: although pricing plan, pricing plan detail, rate plan and rate plan detail records were found, the time of day group was either missing or didn’t have an entry for this time of day.

Common Resolution(s)

Actions you can take to resolve the problem:

  • Fix time of day configuration using these steps:

    1. Write down the Usage Type of the recycled record. (NOTE that a Pricing Plan (catalog ID) may be shown on in the recycled record, but this should be ignored – it is the svctypeid of the pricing plan and is not useful from the CG GUI.)

    2. Search for the service number of interest.

    3. On the Services tab of the account - right click on the appropriate Service number in the top panel and choose Properties/Assigned Pricing Plans on the menu.

    4. Peruse the pricing plans [including their End Date] to determine which pricing plan should be processing this record. Usually there is only one, but several may be shown if older pricing plans have been assigned to the service or if Pricing Plan hunting is being used (i.e. a la carte pricing). Write down the Description of the pricing plan of interest. If there are no PPs shown, a pricing plan needs to be assigned to the service [rather than modifying a Pricing Plan that is already assigned].

    5. Go into the Product Catalog, and do a Product Catalog search using the icon in the top left of the window.

    6. In the Product Catalog Search window, enter the Description (from above) in the Description field and click Search. (The wildcard character * may be used if needed.)

    7. Right click on the PP of interest (there are likely many paths to the same PP, so right-click on any one), and pick ‘Pricing Plan Details’ on that menu.

    8. Right click on the Pricing Plan Details row with the appropriate Usage Type and choose ‘A Leg Rate Plan Details’

    9. A screen will appear with the Rate Details for this Rate Plan. Locate the RPD with a ‘Detail ID’ that matches the ‘Rate Plan Detail ID’ in the recycled record (under Misc. Information). This is the RPD that almost worked to rate this record.

    10. Neither the Time Group on the Pricing Plan Details screen nor the override Time Group (if one exists) in the RPD record had a time band that could handle the call start time of the usage record. If an incorrect Time Group has been specified, edit the Pricing Plan Detail (or Rate Detail) record and specify the correct Time Group. (Note that this spin reason could also indicate a problem in the Time Group configuration itself, but this is unlikely once system setup is complete. This situation can be fixed in the Admin Console/Data Management/Time of Day screen) If necessary, contact IDI for additional support.

Details

A Rate Plan detail record was found that was able to rate this usage, except for the fact that the CallStartTime of the usage did not fall into any 'TimeOfDay' band. This is often due to a missing or incomplete Time of Day group, and can be fixed by completing the TOD group so it covers all times of day.
