Enable Web-based Inventory
Web-based Inventory is not intended to work side by side with the existing IDI Desktop Client functionality. To use web-based Inventory you must request that IDI enable this functionality by toggling a Configuration Console setting (not available to IDI platform users).

Set Up Inventories and Sites via IDI Desktop Client
Inventories and sites must be set up via the IDI Desktop Client before you can begin using the web-based Equipment Inventory module. Refer to IDI Desktop Client Online Help for details.
Equipment Types
Create Equipment Types as needed to establish basic (common) properties associated with a particular kind of equipment.
