Inventory Settings are available via MANAGE > Settings in the Applications menu.

Enforce Equipment Status when Open Tickets - This setting must be checked to use the Enforce Equipment Status When Open Tickets parameter on Equipment Types. Generally when assignments are removed for a piece of equipment, the status goes to Available so that it can be reassigned. The Enforce Equipment Status When Open Tickets parameter on Equipment Types can be used to ensure equipment of a specific type CANNOT be reassigned when there are open Tickets against it by setting the status to Not Available.
The setting is disabled by default. Click the edit button (pencil icon) to enable the check box, then check to enable this setting or uncheck to disable.
