Web Sales milestone 2enhancements

This release provides the following enhancements:

• In the Product Catalog, the Web Sales tab on the Add/Edit Retail Product form has been renamed Web so as not to be confused with Web Sales functionality now available in the Orders and Customer Care web modules (starting in IDI Platform 22.1 with enhancements in subsequent releases).

• Order Field Configuration in the Orders web module lets you restrict the ability to add on-the-fly retail discounts by starting action (e.g., new feature, modify service, etc.) and user group(s).

Adding/Updating Region on a service

Region ID for a service has been available in the Orders API; however, it was not available via the user interface in the Orders web module.

This feature lets you specify region when adding or modifying a service via Orders without having to make an API call. A new Region drop down menu is available on the Details panel during order assembly when adding or modifying a service.

Ability to remove unique EID validation

FR 3347 (released in IDI platform versions 21.3 and 21.4) supports eSIM technology in the IDI platform. This functionality included validation to prevent the same EID from being assigned to more than one device. With potential industry changes, going forward an EID may be assigned to more than one device simultaneously. To address this, AR 9128 was developed to let IDI platform users choose to remove unique EID validation across device records in all areas where it occurs. This includes Web Services, Web Applications, and the IDI Desktop Client.

A new under-the-hood configuration option has been added to let IDI platform users opt out of this validation. The setting is not available to IDI platform users. If you need to remove this validation you must submit a service request to have an authorized IDI associate disable it for you.

NOTE:

This validation is enabled by default, and will remain so until you submit the service request.

Prevent removing service address from a service associated to a line cardroute

Previously, a service address could be removed without checking if any line card routes were using that service address. Doing so put the system in a bad state and could cause errors farther down the process.

With this release removing a service address from a service is prevented until the address is no longer associated to a line card route.

AppleCare verifyerror

Attempting to verify a protection plan on a prospect was erroring out before completion. The web service query was using the CustomerBase view, which filters out prospects.

This was corrected by updating the web service to query the Customer table for the customer instead of the CustomerBase view.
