Directory listing management

Service providers that integrate with a directory listings publishers can now manage directory listings on accounts and services from Customer Care. Previously, IDI Desktop client was required to view and manage these.

The new functionality lets you search, view, and manage directory listings is available from Customer Care. This includes the ability to:

  • Export global directory listing search results to provide to your directory listing publisher.

  • Add, edit or delete individual directory listings.

  • View assigned directory listing products on an account that do not have listing information entered (missing listings).

  • Find all instances of assigned directory listing products across all accounts, where listing information has not been entered.

Note:

If directory listings already exist in your system prior to this release, those listing will be available for viewing and managing in Customer Care.

FR 3478

CoreLogic update

This updates CoreLogic address validation to use the new Spatial APIs. The current GSERT API is being turned off as of 3-31-2023. Service providers that currently use this functionality will be converted automatically for a seamless transition. Providers that do not currently use CoreLogic but wish to start must submit a service request to have this functionality enabled.

Product Catalog Web Module

AR 8910

Support for E-Rate (Milestone 1)

E-Rate is a Federal program that provides schools, libraries, and consortia funding for internet access and related services. The program is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) under the direction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This funding helps schools and libraries to obtain affordable broadband.

  • Milestone 1 of E-Rate provides the ability to configure E-Rate funding in the Product Catalog, manually log utilization for each Funding Request Number (FRN), and generate the reimbursement (474) file.

  • Milestone 2 will be delivered in a future release and will support the automatic generation of E-Rate utilization and discounts during billing.

Also with Milestone 1, a new E-Rate Utilization Manually Created trigger paired with any one of several Workflow actions lets you automate a wide range of functions such as create a follow-up, journal, or ticket; send an email, or create an adjustment for the utilization amount entered.

Refresh Servicevia web applications

When a wireless service number in the IDI platform gets out of sync with information in the switch, the refresh service provisioning action lets you reprovision the service without having to disconnect and reconnect. Wireless carriers that use the IDI Desktop Client refresh service functionality can now perform the same action in the web orders applications. These orders can be initiated via the Orders web module or Customer Care.

The web application refresh order will use your provisioning company’s existing task plan/execution plan set up in IDI Desktop Client to provision the refresh by assigning the order type to a simple workflow with a billing system update action. Note: If you did not previously use refresh service functionality and want to start, contact your account manager to open a professional services work order or to schedule workflow training.

Web Orders

AR 9105

Decimal quantities on retailproducts

This supports the ability to specify a decimal quantity (e.g., 1.75) when adding a retail product in transactions initiated via the web-based Order module or Customer Care. Use this solution to bill for charges or fees that do not always use a whole number value to represent the quantity of the assessed item, for example, when billing for professional services time.

Now you can create a retail product that represents one hour or other unit of measure.  Then, when added to a transaction, enter the decimal quantity that equates to the time or effort spent. The ability to enter a decimal quantity for a retail product provides an improved experience for all parties involved while it reduces the risk of data entry errors.

This requires Starting Blocks to be enabled in your system.

Provisioning

AR 9135

Metaswitch ala carteprovisioning

Full functionality will be released in multiple phases. This release provides a new action for updating line class codes for a subscriber ( Update Line Class Code). See the Metaswitch Provisioning specification in the IDI Knowledge Center for details.

Resolved Known Issues

Functional Area

PR

Description

Tickets – CostGuard Client

84012

Unable to select system-definedtickets

CostGuard Client users have been unable to select system-defined tickets when creating a new ticket.

PR 83040 (CostGuard version 19.7) resolved an issue where the system was not limiting the Journal Type/Follow Up type drop-downs to only display user-defined JournalType IDs (Journal Type ID > 1000). This impacted tickets as well. While users should be prevented from selecting system-defined journals and follow-ups, they should be able to select both system-defined and user-defined ticket types.

Now users can select system-defined ticket types in CostGuard Client.

Note:

You can end date system-defined ticket types if they are not needed in your environment.

Tickets – CostGuard Client

84307

Tickets status not showing closed status onclosing

On closing a ticket the CostGuard Client would update the Closed Date field on the ticket; however, it did not update the actual status of the ticket.

This has been fixed.

Web Orders

84285

Orders not allowing 10 digit temporaryeSIM

When updating a SIM ID in the Orders web module, the field would not allow a temporary value of 10 X’s. Validation for temporary numbers was only allowing 20-place temporary numbers (20 X’s), although the Web Service (API) would allow this value to be any length as long as it was all X’s.

This validation has been updated to not consider other validations, including length, if the value contains all X’s.

Provisioning

84319

Regenerate errors on protectionplans

Upon completing a regeneration request on an errored provisioning activity for a protection plan (such as Cancel or Enroll), the extended data was not being fetched (and thus displaying incorrectly) on the Provisioning Request page. This was an issue with List parameters (such as Cancel Reason Code or POC Delivery Method, etc).

This was updated to fetch the activity’s extended data correctly so they can be updated in the new regenerated provisioning request.

Advance Pay

84267

Advance Pay services mistakenlyhotlined

In some cases the pre-paid rules processing order resulted in Advance Pay services being hotlined.

The logic for processing these rules has been updated to process through an entire service before starting to process on the next service or customer.

Payment Processing

84302

E-Pay transaction time outs – transactions notcreated

E-Pay transactions were timing out due to the runtime of the API LINQ query for recurring E-pay transactions. This was preventing those transactions from being created.

The runtime of this query has been reduced to avoid timeouts.

Usage Processing

84303

Usage summary operationtimeout

A CostGuard system summary operation with a large amount of usage records was timing out. Processing a large set of usage records at the same time was causing performance issues.

The operation has been updated to better manage processing large amounts of usage records.

Customer Care

84305

Show Disconnected Services checkbox not functioning in Chrome

The Change Parent Services page in Customer Care is used to update the parent of a child service. The Show Disconnected Services check box on this page was not functioning in Chrome or Edge browsers, although it worked in Internet Explorer.

This was updated so the check box works in the Chrome and Edge browsers as well as Internet Explorer.

Workflow

84294

Parent workflows stuck In Progress when child workflow is resumedfrom On-Hold status

When a child workflow is resumed from On Hold, without resuming the parent workflow, the sub-workflow would not notify the parent when it completed. This caused the parent workflow to be stuck In Progress, on being resumed.

This had been fixed, so that child workflows will always notify their parent of their completion.
