Entering Service Details

Prev Next

The Service Details window is displayed if you checked Create Service Detail Pages in the Add Services window. Here you can enter additional information regarding the new service including customer-defined attributes, service and billing number.

The Service Details window differs depending on whether the service is wireline or wireless.

Service Details - Wireline

addSvcFeatWizSvcDet

The numbers in parentheses below the title bar indicate the total number of services assigned to this customer, and the sequential number of the service you are currently configuring. For example, 2 of 2 indicates you are currently configuring details for the second of two services assigned to this customer. The left number is incremented each time you click Next, until all services have been configured.

  1. Enter the applicable service details:

    Service Type
    (Read only)

Assigned to this service in the Product Catalog.

    Service Number

Up to 30 alphanumeric characters are allowed for non-block numbers. If the service number is unknown, you can use a temporary number to complete the order. Enter “XXX” as the temporary number. The system automatically converts this to a string of ten X’s - XXXXXXXXXX.

    Note

Temporary service numbers are only allowed for services that have this feature enabled in the Product Catalog.

Typically, 800 Switch and 800 PIN service numbers begin with 8xx. This rule is ignored for temporary service numbers, as Rating and Billing filters out all services with temporary service numbers during a load, reload, or rerate.

    Note

Once you click Save, you can no longer modify the Service Number, but you can still change a temporary service number.

    Billing Number

Billing number assigned to this service number.

    Name

Name associated with the service, if applicable.

    Service Attributes

Displays any base attributes for the specified catalog item, if applicable.

  1. Click Next. This displays the Add Service-Level Features window.

Service Details - Wireless

The Wireless Service Details window provides a main tab and an equipment tab.

Service Details - Main Tab

The main tab is the same for both wireless and GSM wireless service types.
