This is a quick guide for finding the Font Awesome identifier for an icon you want to use on a Customer Portal menu.
Go to the Font Awesome site at: https://fontawesome.com/icons
On the Font Awesome landing page, use the Search field to find icons that may meet your requirement. For example, if you’re looking for icons that represent a dollar sign, enter dollar.

Browse the search results to find an icon that best fits.

Then use the code under the image (in this case: dollar sign), prepend it with fa-, and enter that text string (fa-dollar sign) in the portal’s Icon Code field.

Note:
Some icons may not be available for use in the customer portal. Or you may have entered the code incorrectly. This will be indicated in the Icon Preview, and you will not be permitted to choose it.
