Authorized users can configure the available options for the Customer Management enhanced customer search via Applications > Customer Management > Settings.

This requires you to have the following permission enabled in your permission profile in Admin Console: Customer Managment > Settings > Enhanced Customer Search Options.
To complete the Customer Search Options:
Select the method of from the drop-down list. Tis lets you choose whether or not to validate the address for a full name/address customer search, and, if required, which validation method to use. Available options are based upon current configuration.
Selecting None may be advantageous for systems using Proxix address validation on creating a new customer. By choosing not to perform validation, or choosing an option besides Proxix, you can avoid being charged for address validation on the customer search.
Choosing Basic validates the City, State and Zip.
Select or clear the Street Address 1 is Required check box.
Select the Matching Rules to be followed.

The default is that all matching rules are selected.
