Note
To select a service address as the tax address, the Tax Using Service Addresses option must be selected/enabled in the Configuration Console (see Tax Using Service Address for more information).

|

If the Tax Using Service Addresses option is enabled, select the desired tax address from the drop-down list. This list contains the service addresses that are defined on the Service Addresses tab.
|
Address 1,2 | Street address used for taxing purposes. The Address 2 field provides additional information if applicable. |

E911 Exemptions | If the new service number is exempt from State, County, City, and/or Regional E911 charges, check all E911 exemptions that apply to the new service number. You can check more than one box. The service number is only exempt from those E911 charges that are checked. All unchecked E911 charges still apply to the service number. These E911 exemptions override all products assigned to this service that are E911 eligible (“E911 Eligible” flag is checked for that product). Refer to Tax Exemption Maintenance, Exemptions by Catalog Item, for additional information. |
Tax Using Service Address
You may base taxes upon a service address rather than the Primary Customer Contact address. To do this, select the Tax Using Service Addresses option in the Configuration Console:
Select Environment_Name > Local Services > CostGuardService > Environment_CostGuardServer > Customer Management Settings, click Tax Options. This displays the Tax Options window.
Check the Tax Using Service Addresses check box and click Save.
As long as Tax Using Service Addresses is checked, you can select a service address as the tax address for a service. If Tax Using Service Addresses is not checked, the tax address for all services is that service's Primary Customer Contact or Service Contact address.
