Registers can only be added or edited at the store level.
Viewing a List of Registers
To view a register (only at the store level):
Right-click the appropriate store and select Registers from the shortcut menu. This displays all the registers for the selected store if applicable on the Register Listing window.

Add/Edit
To add or edit a register (from the Registers for [store name]):
Right click in the window and select New to add,
OR
Double-click the register to display the Add / Edit Register window.

Add or make changes to the necessary fields on the Main tab.
Register Number - Register Number is a unique identifying number for the register.
Description - A description for the register; for example, its location.
Machine Name - The Machine Name is the name of a PC running the IDI Desktop Client that is connected to a register where POS transactions will take place.
Float Amount - Checking this box will enable the CSR to override the default float amount with any value.
Float Override - Float Override equals a value that will override the store level float amount.
Is Active - Is Active means that if this box is checked then the register can be used for sales transactions. If it is not checked, the register cannot be used for any sales transactions.
Auto-Reconcile - Check this box to configure the POS Register to automatically reconcile. This setting is unchecked by default. if the POS Location of the Register is already configured with a POS Register Policy that has been defined with Auto-Reconcile enabled, then this setting cannot be modified.
Click Save to keep your changes when you're done.
Note
To add a new register, at a minimum you need to enter a description and make sure that the register number is unique.

Delete
To delete a register:
Right-click the store which contains the register to be deleted and select Registers from the shortcut menu.
This displays all the registers for the selected store.
Right-click the register to be deleted and select Delete from the shortcut menu.
Click Yes to confirm and delete the register from the system.
Note
If anyone is logged into the register, you will not be able to delete it.
