Register devices are peripheral pieces of equipment that may include the following:
Barcode Printer
Barcode Reader
Cash Drawer
Label Printer
Line Display
Magnetic Strip Reader
Receipt Printer
Report Printer
Signature Capture
Check Scanner
Once the register has been configured, these devices can be set up on the device tab of the register window.

These are all optional devices that can expedite certain processes in the IDI platform.
Note
Once devices have been configured to a register, the machine name may not be changed until all configured devices have been removed from the devices tab.

To configure a device for a register:
At the Devices tab,

right-click the device to add and click Select from the shortcut menu.
Click Save to keep your changes.
Note
You must have a Machine name for the appropriate Register.
To Test, Reset, Remove or Remove all Devices
At the Devices tab, right-click the appropriate device, and select an action (Test, Reset, Remove, Remove all) from the shortcut menu.
Click Save to keep your changes.
