The Price Matrix functionality provides pricing flexibility for service providers. It is a matrix design in the Product Catalog to enable pricing structures by contracts and zones. You can set up charges based on the contract SKU and Zone so you have one contract SKU and multiple charges for that SKU. Zones may be configured using traditional density zones established by NPA/NXX or configured to represent a specific geographical area.
When a product, package or pricing plan using the price matrix is assigned to a customer or service, the related Zone determines which charges that are applied.
Recommended steps to create a price matrix
Step 1. Verify the required states exist in the States table. See States Table.
Step 2. Verify the required Zones exist in the Zones table. See Zones.
Step 3. Verify the required Contracts are configured to be used with Price Matrix. See Adding a New Contract.
Step 4. Configure the required Products, Packages and Pricing Plans to use Price Matrix. See New Product - Main Tab.
Step 5. Create the Price Matrix. See Adding/Editing a Price Matrix.
