"On the Fly Discounting" is a discount that is non-automatic. This discount is not associated with a plan or promotion and can be assigned specific discounting privileges, specifically amount restrictions when a user is created.
In the event that a sale requires a greater discount amount than what can be entered by the user (or Register Policy settings), the override will allow for another user to login and perform the task.
Currently, a user can be restricted from applying On the Fly Discounts by:
User permissions (regulates right-click discount)
Register Policy-Discount Policy (results in error message when discount amount is greater than the policy)
Note:
A Manager Override is required to permit the application of a discount for both scenarios.
