Discounts can be applied to any number of items on the make sale form.
To apply a discount:
right click on the desired item or items that you want discounted and select the discount option
once the discount screen appears the user may enter the following information:
Type
The type of discount to apply to the item(s).
Amount
The item(s) selected will be discounted by the amount entered. If there are multiple items selected then the amount of the discount will spread across all the items. Each selected item will receive a percentage of the overall amount related to the price of that item in ratio to the sum of the price of all the items.
Percentage
The item(s) selected will be discount by the percentage entered.
Discount
If the type is percentage then the value entered here will be the percentage to discount the items. If the type is amount then the value entered here will be the dollar amount to discount the item(s).
Reason
The selectable reasons here are user defined.
