About MICR Check Scanning

With a check scanner you can scan checks into the IDI platform for payment at point of sale.

• Check (or MICR) scanning reduces the time it takes for check processing, and it lessens the chance of errors resulting from manual check entry.

• MICR, or Magnetic Ink Character Recognition, is the font used to print the bottom line of information on a check.

• The MICR typeface has only 14 characters in it: the numbers 0-9, and four special symbols: Transit, Amount, On-Us, and Dash.
