To access the configuration settings for XML Invoice Services:
Open the Configuration Console.
Select environment > Local Services > RateBill > xxx_RateBill > XML Invoice General Configuration.
This displays the General Configuration dialog box for XML Invoice Services.

The General Configuration settings are as follows:
XML Bill Processing Service Directory
Enter the base directory where XML files will be created. The system creates a subdirectory with the name of the invoice group.
Database Connection Time-out
Enter the maximum time to wait for calls to the database to be returned before an error is sent.
Max Number of Usage Records Per Batch
Enter the maximum number of usage records that will be queried from the database per batch.
Max Number of Customers Per Batch
Enter the maximum number of customers that will be queried from the database per batch.
Concatenate Files
Check to automatically concatenate all files in the Invoice Group when each bill processing batch has finished running.
Generate Follow Up
Check to automatically generate a follow-up that notifies the user when each bill processing batch has finished running.
Create Request Status File
Check to create a status file in the invoice format directory when a batch is finished.
Use Override Invoice For
Check to override the Invoice Format used for all invoices created.
The invoice format assigned to the customers does not change in the customer record. This feature is generally used for testing purposes.
Note
If using the Override Invoice Format, the notes section for that corresponding group will not be picked up during the printing process.
If left unchecked, all customers will receive the invoice reports in that group.
Override Invoice Format
Select an invoice format to use when overriding.
Combined Discount Items
Check to combine the same discount items into one line on the invoice. If left unchecked, each discount item appears on a separate line on the invoice.
Create NIR Invoices
Check to create “statement” invoices for Non-Invoice Responsible children. If left unchecked, only those NIR accounts with Invoice Responsible children will print.
Discounts On Usage
Check to include discounted usage items on the invoice.
Overdue Balance Bucket
Enter the number of the balance bucket to use when calculating the overdue indicator: 1,2,3, etc. The current buckets found in each group are considered bucket 0 and should not be included in the count.
The overdue indicator in the xml invoice files will be equal to Y when the bucket chosen and the total amount due are greater then zero, otherwise the overdue indicator will be equal to N.
Sort Account Code Detail for Conf Calls by Text1
When selected, sort the account code detail report by Text1, when the account code is zero, for calls associated with conference call services.
Separate taxes into Mandatory / Non-Mandatory sections
Checked: Taxes are separated into mandatory and non-mandatory sections on the invoice.
Unchecked: All taxes are displayed in one section on the invoice.
Change Bill Period Next End Date
Checked: One day is subtracted from the next end date of the bill period and added to the xml.
Unchecked: The current end date of the bill period is added to the xml.
Exclude 011 on International Numbers
When checked, "011" is not appended to an international number in usage detail reports.
Include Primary Customer Contact
When checked, includes the primary_contact section in the XML which contains the address information from the Primary Customer Contact
Separate Local Per Minute vs. Per Call
Checked: Local Per Minute and Per Call usage are reported on separate lines in applicable XML reports.
Unchecked (default): Local Per Minute and Per Call usage are not separated in applicable XML reports.

Display Conference Usage Detail Report (Non Raindance RD2 FE)
When checked, creates an XML report called Conference Usage Detail (Non Raindance RD2 FE), and suppresses conference call usage from the Usage Detail, Account Code Usage Detail, Department Usage Detail, Orig Number Usage Detail, and Off Hours Usage Detail reports.
Conference Usage Detail ConferenceID
Used by the Conference Usage Detail (Non Raindance RD2 FE) report. Select one of the possible values:
AcctCode,OrigNumber,OrigPlace,TermNumber,TermPlace,Text1. The value of this column is output as the pin for a service and is used to break out and sort the usage records.Show Pager Services In Wireless New Charges
When checked, shows pager services in the wireless new charges report. When unchecked, shows only wireless services in the wireless new charges report.
Change Number To Dialed Number in Usage Detail Reports
When checked, the Usage Detail reports show the dialed number, located in the text1 field. This applies to usage associated with the front end file format IXC.
Show Usage Type In Long Distance Usage by Location
When checked, the Long Distance Usage By Location report shows Usage Type and includes travel card usage. Distance types will only appear for usage types of Domestic 1+, 8xx Service and 8xx Payphone Service.
When unchecked, the Long Distance Usage By Location report shows distance types and excludes travel card usage. Distance Types will appear for all usage on the report.
Check For Approved Epay Transaction
When checked, the last E-Pay transaction for an E-Pay account must have a status of Approved for the payment type indicator to have a value of E-Pay.
For shared discounts, only output data in the 'used' field
When checked, the Wireless Minutes Summary report shows a value only in the 'used' field on services sharing the discount but where the shared discount has not been assigned. The carryover, new, expired, balance, and billable fields will be blank.
Suppress Zero Charged '777' usage on services with at least one listed SKU
All zero charged records with a '777' term number will be suppressed on the invoices of services with a SKU that is listed in this comma (,) delimited setting.
Move Finance Charges to Balance Forward
When checked, Finance Charges are moved from the current Total New Charges section to the Balance Forward section within the XML Invoice files for all accounts.
Move account level taxes to primary service
When checked, account level taxes are displayed under the primary service tax section of the Wireless New Charges report.
Cache Refresh Time (Minutes)
Enter the number of minutes the system should wait before refreshing the cache. This applies when creating xml files from the search results page on a customer record.
Thread Pool Size
Enter the number of threads to use when creating XML files.
Thread Priority
Enter the thread priority to use on all threads created by the service.
Move Credit and Debit Adjustments Under New Charges
When checked, credits and debits are included under New Charges on the XML invoice.
Separate Charge Adjustments
When checked, credit adjustments are applied to the balance forward on an account, but only up to a point where the balance forward is zero. Any remaining adjustment is applied to new charges.
Display Expired Contracts (Months)
To display expired contracts in the Contract Summary, enter the number of months prior to the start of the bill period that you want to display.
Note
The Thread Pool Size and Thread Priority apply to all environments for the specified service and do not take effect until a service has been restarted.
