Notes:
Installment plans are only created on products that allow installments.
Only one-time products/packages are allowed to have installment plans.
To view installment plan details for a product:
Right-click on a product from the feature list on the Features tab and select Properties > View Installment Plan Details.
The Installment Plan Detail window contains the following information:
Pay Off Now
The Pay Off Now button opens the Bill Payment window with the remaining installment amount automatically entered in the Payment Amount field to let you tender that amount only.
Pay in Full Process:
Disconnects Installment Plan and puts amount yet to be invoiced on next invoice.
Displays Tender Bill payment form and Auto-populates amount field with amount owed (read-only to prevent partial payments).
Generates an order with a payment. If the payment is voided all related actions are automatically reversed (including reconnecting and re-activating the Installment Plan product).
Tendered payment appears as a credit on the customer’s account until the invoice is processed, at which time the credit cancels out the charge on the invoice.
Green/Yellow check mark
Yellow check mark indicates the installment plan has not yet billed.
Green check mark indicates the installment plan has already billed.
Date
Start date of the installment plan.
The start and end dates for an installment plan invoice detail are the same dates of a billing period. The exception is if the start date is earlier than the installment plan because it has not been billed before and there are pre-dated installments due.
Amount
Total installment amount.
Notes:
The amounts listed may not be a definitive indication of remaining balance. This window displays only what has been invoiced and not necessarily what has actually been paid.
The total amount due may not be evenly divisible by the number of installments and rules. If that happens the larger amount is to be paid last.
Notes:
Once a product has been billed you will no longer be able to modify the paid in installments check box, change the number of installments, change the charge, start date, and/or quantity of paid in installments fields.
