You can create custom toolbars for quick access to IDI Desktop Client functions (menu commands) that you use frequently. You can logically group commands on toolbars based on areas of functionality, for example Customer Management, POS Front Office, Accounts Receivable, and so on.

Toolbars are assigned to users through toolbar profiles. A toolbar profile is a set of one or more toolbars grouped to meet the requirements of a specific class of user, for example, system administrator, customer service representative, store manager and so on. The assigned toolbar profile determines the toolbar commands a user will have available when they are logged in to the IDI Desktop Client. You can also define keyboard shortcuts to associate with a toolbar profile.
The IDI platform comes equipped with several default toolbars and one default toolbar profile which are created by IDI. The default toolbars may be used to build custom toolbar profiles, and may also be used as templates to create custom toolbars. The default toolbar profile may be used as a template for creating other profiles, and may also be assigned to users to give them a starting toolbar until other custom toolbars are built.
Toolbars and toolbar profiles are owned at one of three levels:

Default - Provided with the system and cannot be modified or deleted. These are generally used as templates for creating custom profiles and toolbars. Default toolbars may be included in Company or Personal profiles. You are not permitted to modify default toolbars, nor the default toolbar profile.

Company - Custom-built profiles and toolbars typically created by administrator-level users and then assigned to users in a particular user class. Company toolbars may be included in Company or Personal profiles.

Personal - Custom profiles and toolbars created by and for a specific user. These are not visible to other users. Personal toolbars cannot be included in any profile other than your own.
Toolbars are managed within the context of a toolbar profile. All toolbar management functions (creating, customizing and so on) must be conducted through a selected toolbar profile. See Managing Toolbars.
